Line C-6: Airport to Alicante City Centre

The C-6 line is the urban bus that connects the airport with the center of Alicante 24/7, 365 days a year. It stops at key locations like the central bus station, the train station (Luceros), and Plaza del Mar.

  • Frequency: Every 20 minutes during the day. Less frequent at night.
  • Stops: Key stops include Alfonso X El Sabio, Plaza de los Luceros, and the bus station.
  • Price: €3.85 for a single ticket. You can also buy a 10-journey card for €12.

ALSA Buses to Other Destinations

For destinations outside of Alicante city, the main operator is ALSA. Their modern coaches connect the airport to all major towns on the Costa Blanca.

  • To Benidorm: Direct service with frequent departures throughout the day.
  • To Torrevieja: Direct service, running approximately every hour.
  • To Calpe & Denia: These routes often have fewer direct services and may require a change in Benidorm or Alicante bus station.

It is highly recommended to book ALSA tickets online in advance, especially during peak season, to guarantee your seat.

How to Buy Bus Tickets

On the Bus (C-6)

You can pay the driver directly for the C-6 line (cash, exact change preferred) or use a contactless card/phone.

ALSA Website/App

The easiest way to buy ALSA tickets is online through their website or mobile app. You get a digital ticket with a QR code.

Ticket Machines

There are ticket machines at the airport bus stop where you can purchase tickets for various routes before boarding.

Is the Bus Always the Best Option?

Buses are cheap, but they can be crowded, have limited luggage space, and may not run late at night. A private transfer offers a comfortable, direct, and stress-free alternative.

Luggage Policy and Night Service

Luggage on the Bus

On the C-6 line, you can bring a suitcase as long as it fits in the designated luggage racks. On ALSA coaches, you can typically store one large suitcase (up to 30kg) in the hold for free, with additional bags incurring a small fee.

Night Bus Services

The C-6 line runs 24/7, but with a reduced frequency after midnight (approximately every hour). ALSA services to other towns are very limited late at night. If you have a late flight, a taxi or a pre-booked private transfer is your best bet.
